Inalienable rights - The term inalienable rights (or unalienable rights) refers to a set of human rights that are absolute, not awarded by human power, not transferable to another power, and incapable of repudiation. Several different sets of inalienable rights have been suggested by philosophers and politicians.
Speciesism - Speciesism is the concept that individuals should be accorded rights based on their species membership rather than their actual capacities. As such it is seen as discriminatory in the same way as sexism or other discriminatory practices by some people, who argue that animals should be recognized as having broad inalienable rights and respect as sentient feeling living beings, regardless of historical notions that draw a line between humans (a divine or higher species who are entitled to these) and "mere animals" (who are lower and are therefore not).
