Language code - A language code is a system that assigns short letter codes to languages. Often used language codes include ISO 639 and the SIL code.
ISO 639 - ISO 639 is one of several international standards that list short codes for language names. Since the 15th editions the Ethnologue that formerly used separate codes started using ISO 639-3 codes.
ISO 639-1 - ISO 639-1 is the first part of the ISO 639 international-standard language-code family. It consists of 136 two-letter codes used to identify the world's major languages.
