Core based statistical area - A Core Based Statistical Area is the United States Census Bureau term for an urban area of at least 10,000 people, based on standards set up by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in 2000 and finalized in 2003. These standards are used to replace the definitions of metropolitan areas that were defined in 1990.

NAPCS - NAPCS (North American Product Classification System) is a multi-phase effort by Canada, Mexico, and the United States to develop a comprehensive list of products, product definitions, and product codes that will be organized into an integrated demand-based classification framework that classifies both goods and services according to how they are principally used. Statistical assembly - A statistical assembly is a study of the relationships among the components in a statistical unit that is made of discrete components like organs or machine parts. Much of the observation for statistical assembly requires special preparation of the unit, which demands that the intervention must not prejudice the observations.
